January 1st. 2009 SINTEF is no longer a project
manager for OREDA. This role is handed over to Det

Phase X is scheduled to
last 2009-2011. The focus for phase X will be to further strengthen the subsea
data collection and to increase the amount of subsea, topside and onshore data
in the database. Taxonomy for some new equipment classes have
been introduced. Work is ongoing to improve the data analysis software.
The OREDA
guidelines and software have in 2007 been aligned with ISO 14 224 and has been
implemented in 2008. For OREDA users a separate
document has been prepared to summarise the changes implemented.
A new OREDA
Handbook (5th edition) has been issued in December 2009. It includes data for
the two phases VI and VII (new) but also contains data from phase V previously
issued in the 2002 issue of the Handbook.
